DIRTY SKUNKS - 10. years anniversary

In February Dirty skunks will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of their existence and continuous operation. Already with their first concert they proved it was not their intention to be a one gig wonder, and also to be neither quibbling nor petty. So, there was the Orto Metal Fest No.1, which was held on 6 February 2002 in Orto Bar, treating the visitors to the bands Sarcasm, Expulsion, Nabiska and Distortion. Persistent as they are, they have since organised more than 300 events, spanning from thrash, death, black, prog metal to hardcore and punk. Surely not to be forgotten is the series of events Drunk in public that made Orto Bar burst at is seams, letting the stage be seized by then high-school melodic punkrockers (Backstage, Leaf-Fat, Golliwog, Not Looking Pretty, Low Value...) or the performances by legendary bands, such as Hatebreed, D.R.I., Parkway Drive, Benediction, Agnostic Front, Strung Out, Nargaroth, Bane, Napalm Death, Cynic, Saxon, Raised Fist, Suffocation, SNFU, Cult of Luna, Inquisition...

In ten years, Dirty skunks have thus bred a new generation of the lovers of hard, black, diverse and intriguing genres, and treated old hands both to renowned names and a new wave of young, promising bands. Thanks to the Skunks, who have been tending both to listeners as well as young bands by enabling them to present their abilities to the audiences, the Slovenian music scene has surely gained in versatility and quality.

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, the Skunks are thus inviting you to Kino Šiška on Friday 3rd February, to a special free gig as a gesture of thanks to all their supporters and listeners.
