Goldfrapp

With its first visit to Slovenia, Goldfrapp and its live support band will take all Itak-members and music aficionados on a rocket ride across the sound ecstasy of modern heavenly vintage pop to round-off this year's Itak Džafest concert series.

In May, Florence ran the show in Kino Šiška, in June, Gossip shook Ljubljana's Križanke, and now, Itak Džabest presents the final exclusive concert this year, Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory, better known as Goldfrapp, to appear in Kino Šiška.

Goldfrapp began creating music in 1999. The year 2000 saw the release of their debut album Felt Mountain, whose captivating mixture of synthesized vocals and wonderful cabaret, folklore and electronic-inspired audio backgrounds immediately fascinated the critics. For the next album, Black Cherry, the singer Alison Goldfrapp and the keyboard player Will Gregory upgraded the sound of their first album with glam rock and synth pop approaches. The “glamtastic sadopop” as they referred to their dance-oriented pop, was continued in their next, super-successful album Supernature. 2008 brought a twist - the album Seventh Tree substituted the dancy sound for a more subtle, warm and organic folklore expression.
Goldfrapp's fifth album Head First was released in March this year. Sounding modern and retro at the same time, its music wins audiences with catching sounds, high quality and the typical Goldfrapp energy that has made so many fans around the world fall in love with their music. The singer Alison Goldfrapp, the keyboard player Will Gregory and their live support band are bringing their music and energy to Kino Šiška on 8th October to charm Itak-users and other music aficionados!
