BALŽALORSKY DRAŠLER TRIO
The guitar trio Balžalorsky/Drašler has been performing for more than four years. All the three musicians regularly collaborate with top Slovenian and foreign musicians. Their names appear in various bands, including the Zlatko Kaučič Kombo, which earlier this year performed in Kino Šiška together with Javir Girotto and Aleksander Balanescu. However, they find the greatest challenge in the trio. There are an awful lot of compositions to be found that are complex in harmony and charged with emotion. Within them they seek their space and interplay. Avoiding clichés they remain faithful to the music that always teaches them something new.

LONDON
The band was formed at the incentive of Ivo Rimc and Matko Sasek – Koolade, additional members being Erik Marenče on keyboards, Jernej Kržič on bass and Andraž Mazi on guitar. Koolade is a Croatian hip-hop producer. Born in Zagreb, Croatia in the late '70s, he began his music career in the mid/late '90s, becoming one of the founders and cornerstones of the Croatian hip-hop scene. Along with other members of the Blackout family he made a strong contribution in making hip-hop an established genre in the Croatian mainstream music scene. Soon after that, he and his partner/manager Phat Phillie realized that his production would make a good export, and continued to expand his work throughout Europe and the US, where he is perhaps best known for his works with Masta Ace on Disposable Arts and A Long Hot Summer, as well as a number of other prominent American hip-hop artists such as Ghostface Killah and Talib Kweli. Today, many consider him one of the European trademarks for good quality hip-hop. The band will play their original music in the style of electro acoustic lounge funk.

ZLATKO KAUČIČ KOMBO
The band Kombo run by Zlatko Kaučič is composed of young drummers, percussionists, bassists, guitarists and keyboard players. If we were to define the music performed by Kombo, we could place it in the field of jazz and ethno with occasional examples of Slovenian traditional repertoire. The music that emerges is a creative original flow striving for creative multidisciplinarity, for the ability to master any music language and for the integration with other types of art, starting with literature.

LITOŠT
The duo members Boštjan Franetič and Vitja Balžalorsky are probably best known for appearing as guitarists in diverse projects of various genres – from reggae, free jazz and rock to progressive metal. In Litošt, they have formed a duo based on pure improvisation, sound experimenting and a search for new horizons, particularly using analogue electronic instruments. Their starting point is a sort of minimalism, from which they pull threads to create a web and possibly get caught in it. They like to stray into stoner rock, roam in soundscapes, plug their ears using the noiser touch, and occasionally a jazz standard appears out of thin air.

KORIANDR
Koriandr, a duo composed of the drummer Rok Koritnik and guitarist Andraž Mazi, the former providing the rhythm, the latter the melody, is a universal music spice. In their music they integrate diverse instruments from Indian, Arabic and African music. Only two pairs of hands and an infinity of exotic percussions and string instruments result in the “Ethno world music” mixed with their feel for blues and other additions. Their form and dynamics change from concert to concert and get upgraded with samples.

TEO COLLORI TRIO
Teo is completing his studies at Klagenfurt Conservatorium, now presenting his graduation band. The guys play jazz standards in a modern, desolate way, as well as Collori's compositions, the style of which is difficult to define.
Teo Collori – guitar, Jošt Drašler – bass, Bojan Krhlanko – drums.

ZLATKO KAUČIČ SOLO
“Solo drumming performances have opened up a new chapter in the creativity of one of the most pronounced Slovenian musicians, and one of the most creative European jazz musicians. Such concerts present a rare opportunity that completely bares the musician, exposing his mastery, sincerity, pursuit and originality.” (Ičo Vidmar)

KATARINA and DEJAN
Katarina Juvančič and Dejan Lapanja, the recently formed folk duo, made its breakthrough in the Slovenian music scene in 2009, as their punk folk song Uej Uej (Magdalenca) was presented successfully at the Val 202 competition, winning them an appearance at the final competition gig in Kino Šiška. In June 2010 they were also awarded at Kantfest – Slovenian singer-songwriter festival. Katarina poetises a rich expressive world of female sentiments, at the same time building a bridge between contemporary trends and archaic folk approaches to poetry and sensibility. The final touch in arrangements is provided by her stage colleague, the all-round musician and producer Dejan Lapanja. Having matured in prominent Slovenian bands like Olivija and Bast, he now performs in his own trio as well as the bands Salamandra Salamandra, Adrabesa and Mljask.

SPORTBILLY KRŠI EMBARGO
Sportbilly Krši Embargo is a Maribor-based band of six members playing their original music. The sound of Sportbilly has several faces, each of them reflecting different influences. They feel at home in the form of dub, yet they also digress from it, which results in a mixture of genres and innovative touches. At this early stage, they have been exploring the original compositions that were written for such a band a few years ago, expressing original sound spiced up by wind instruments and the accordion.
Jaka Berger –drums, percussion, Jure Najdič – bass, Danijel Marinič – accordion, Miha Klančnik – trumpet, Rok Uhan – sax, Jernej Stergar – guitar.

MAJA SAVIČ HAMMOND TRIO
This is an extremely interesting collaboration that has been talked about for some time, but only early this year the it started to be realised in music. The most interesting thing about this it that the listener can actually hear a Hammond player! It is my great pleasure to be working with Erik, a top piano/Hammond player, as in his presence I can do my best, says Maja, adding that it is also her pleasure to be playing with the third member, Radko Divjak. Although this is only a trio, it is no silent combination of musicians and instruments. Far from that... Hammond fills the space excellently with its sound, the drums and vocals adding the rhythm and melody, thus upgrading the specific Hammond sound. Finally I can proudly say that in this trio, if nowhere else, Slovenians and Croatians have joined in nice collaboration. Maja Savić
