Candie Hank's Driver & Driver (Sonig / Ger)

In cooperation with MED Festival – Maribor Electronic Destination, an evening of enticing adventurous electronic music is set to happen.

The main course of the evening will be the comeback of the duo Driver & Driver, composed of two scandalous characters from Berlin electronica scene:

Candie Hank / Patric Catani: electronica, vocals
Chris Imler: drums, vocals

Patric Catani alias Candie Hanka has been recorded in history as one of the main protagonists of digital hardcore of the late 1990's (duo EC8OR – together with Gino-Cobra Killer-V.D’Orio he released his works on Alec Empire's DHR and Beastie Boys' Grand Royal). Despite being an extremely convincing solo performer, Catani decided to launch a reinforced concert team in cooperation with Chris Imler, a drummer and vocalist, also a Berlin music scene veteran. The Driver works based on basic instincts of the low frequency electro, lively sound miniatures and quips as well as punk-rock rhythm and spirit.

The night will be warmed up by the Belgrade-based sound artist and activist Luka Ivanović - Lukatoyboy, who uses real time sampling, sound loops, field recordings and iPod FM players to realise his electro-acoustic ventures. Lukatoyboy as a DJ drives the groove of nano-techno and free IDM using a Game Boy.

The night will be finished off by the Macedonian electronic all-rounder and digital art event organiser Toni Dimitrov, very well known by audiences in Ljubljana. Performing as Every Kid On Speed he promises an adventurous electronic DJ set.
