Isis, Dälek, Transitional

Apart from the monume(n)tal Isis, the Ipecaca headquarters will provide the regular returnee, the relentless rhymester Dälek, while a complete sound experience will be ensured by the fresh doom-industrial geniuses Transitional who will be marching along. Joined for the first time in the cathedral of our new “spiritual” centre.

ISIS (California, US)
Druščina Isis že vse od konca devetdesetih let fabricira gromozanske zvočne podvige, prepredene z umerjenim doziranjem hardcorovskih, metalnih ter spiritualnih prvin. Okorno, kotalečo, bobnečo, turbulentno in predvsem atmosferično metaliziranost je peterica po epsko razgrnila med skrajnosti, ki se raztezajo od peklenskega butanja do nebeške blagoglasnosti, za kar je še zmerom najprikladnejša lokacija Pattonovo grmeče oporišče Ipecac Recordings. Sicer pa je Aaron Turner, glavar zasedbe Isis, lastnik zelo marljive založbe Hydra Head, kjer domuje lepo število vidnih izvajalcev, mdr. Boris, Kayo Dot, Jesu in Lustmord.

DäLEK (New Jersey, USA)
Will Brooks i.e. Dälek and Alap Momin (Oktopus) have found their central inspiration in the raw sound of bands like Public Enemy and Eric B. & Rakim, yet it would be wrong to ignore their absorbing of krautrock, jazz, psychedelia, beatniks as well as African and Asian music. The latent heterogeneousness of Dälek's sound dialogues in not only reflected in dubious, provoking record titles, but also in the compact score of experimentally designed composition. Dälek attempts to do what the old masters of “jabber” used to do. They struggled to bring back to hip-hop the free spirit that has been disappearing and evaporating through the years.

TRANSITIONAL (GB)
The recent conception of Transitional was brought about by Kevin Laske (Novatron), who attracted the industrial rock legend, Dave Cochrane (Head Of David, God, Jesu), and later the skilled Phil Petrocelli (Trey Gunn, The Living Jarboe, Bill Laswell). The three create a lethargic and sighing music atmosphere, containing a fair deal of sweet morbidity, following the steps of Swans and Godflesh. The latter's fingerprints are particularly strong as the “supervisor” of the performance was Justin K Broadrick in person. For those who don't like to hurry.
