International Summit Of Cheap Laser Graphics
Biennial of Cheap Laser Graphics is a two-day manifestation integrating young creatives and stars in design, illustration and visual communication, the aim being to promote and affirm graphic design among the general public.
Location: Kamera
Price: Admission free
The idea of Biennial of Cheap Laser Graphics is to present the works of young designers coming from Serbia, the region, as well as from around the world. According to the concept, works have to be reproduced on standard office paper, A4 format, printed in black and white on a laser printer. The main idea, therefore, is to make works by talented designers accessible to the widest audience in an interesting way. Visitors can buy design works on the spot at the price of 1€. Alongside each work exhibited, a questionnaire will be presented for visitors to the exhibition to complete it. The questions problematise in a witty approach the position of the designer on the contemporary market, the relationship between design and contemporary art, social and political awareness, as well as the specifics of the designer's creative process and way of life.
The aim of the Biennial of Cheap Laser Graphics is to present the works of the world's greatest design stars and of talented young artists whose time is yet to come, providing both with equal attention. The event is original in portraying the zeitgeist, speaking openly of the position of designer and artist in modern times.
