In collaboration with Imer Trajo Brizani and the Amala band, Big Band RTV Slovenija is organising a colourful evening of Romani music dressed up in jazz. They’ve invited globally acclaimed Romani saxophonist Ferus Mustafov as a special guest. The concert will thus be a stroll through a stylistically colourful and sonically picturesque repertoire.
Brizani has been active on the Slovenian music scene for more than four decades, mostly performing with his band Amala. He is primarily a jazz player, bassist and composer, and has released more than 20 albums of original music during his career.
Tadej Tomšič will conduct.
Organisation: RTV Slovenia Music Production and Kino Šiška. The concert is under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor.
